Trevett Column: Welcome Celebration Cookout Aug. 24

Fri, 08/09/2019 - 8:00am

Judy and her crew are organizing the Aug. 21 BICA potluck. Remember that we start at 5:30 p.m. Please plan on bringing an appetizer, main or side dish or dessert to share along with your beverage of choice. As always, coffee and water are available. There will be bingo with Paul. This is back by popular demand. Prizes are in the works for the winners.

Anne had her crew of Alice, the other Anne, Jane and Patti worked double time to keep up with the 55 hungry folks that attended the July potluck. Well done ladies.

Frank and Shane sold raffle tickets and Jack and Bonnie were winners of I “lobster” Maine gear. The winner of the super-sized bag of I “lobster” Maine gear was Lilly (Suzanne’s granddaughter). At last check she was still going through the bag of goodies. Thanks to Patti for providing the fun.

New residents and guests were welcomed. It is great to see some fresh faces. And the lobster talk by Brian and Bill was very informative. Brian brought some of his gear and photos to show. There were lots of questions and it was most interesting to see the differences between the commercial side and recreational side of lobstering.
