Dear Editor:  

I would like to send out a very belated thanks to Mike Alley and his crew at the Boothbay Public Works Department.

On Wednesday, May 25, Mr. Alley kindly switched up his mowing schedule at Clifford Park. The grass was extremely high and two Boothbay Region Little League teams, Dead River Seahawks vs. Osman Page, were scheduled to play that afternoon. With little notice, he came through, and a great afternoon of baseball was saved despite the Public Works’ busy schedule. The change in the mowing schedule continued through the rest of the season and it landed perfectly between the ball games that were played on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  

Once again thank you to Mike and his crew.
