Larry Brown of East Boothbay has donated a beautiful bench, made from the Boothbay Region High School bleachers which were in place for 60 years, as a raffle prize for the BRHS Class of 2021 Project Graduation. Brown has donated a few of these benches, and also handed out plaques made from the bleacher wood by his friend, Jim Roberge of Greene.
A total of 200 raffle tickets at $20 each are being sold by members of the BRHS senior class and at Bath Savings in Boothbay Harbor.
The bench, 4 feet, 4 inches long and 18 inches high, sports a small plaque which reads, “Porter Memorial Gym Bleachers 1955-2015.”
