Freshman Brad Tibbetts and sophomore Nicole Lebrecque, independent swimmers from Boothbay Region High School competing with the Wiscasset High School swim team, qualified for the state Class B swim meet in February with their times at a meet held at Cony High School December 14. 

Tibbetts qualified in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:05.23. Lebrecque qualified in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 28.52. Tibbetts also competed in the 200-yard freestyle (2:14.06) and Lebrecque competed in the 100-yard freestyle (1:05.97)

BRHS junior Ethan Walker and freshman Samantha Carter also competed at Cony. Walker had a time of 2:38.29 in the 200-yard individual medley (IM) and a time of 1:06.08 in the 100-yard freestyle. Carter had a time of 3:11.30 in the 200-yard IM and a time of 1:33.89 in the 100-yard backstroke.

At the team's first meet of the season at Wiscasset December 7, Lebrecque and Walker qualified for the state meet; Lebrecque qualified in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly while Walker qualified in the 100 breaststroke.
