The 16th annual Leprechaun Leap, a quick dip in the ocean for the benefit of local Special Olympians, will held Thursday, March 17 at 3:30 p.m. at Hendricks Head Beach on Southport Island.
Pledges are made to the various “leapers,” which typically number between 12 and 24, and the money is donated to the Boothbay Region Special Olympic program. Contact Toby LeConte at Boothbay Region Elementary School (633-5097) to learn how to make a monetary pledge.
