Studio 53 Collectives’ Artists Dick Alden and Donna Denniston will give a stone sculpting demonstration in the parking area of Studio 53 Fine Art Gallery on August 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Alden carves larger sculptures from mostly Maine granite and Vermont marble, evoking a sense of rhythm, balance and harmony. Denniston works primarily in alabaster which she transforms into graceful natural sculptures. Many of their sculptures are on display in the gallery and in the new sculpture garden on the waterfront.
