St. Andrews Auxiliary holds annual Volunteer Luncheon

The St. Andrews Auxiliary held its annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon and Fashion Show at Newagen Seaside Inn on Southport on Wednesday, July 22 after being rescheduled in March.
The Auxiliary Thrift Shop was proud to be one of the first small businesses to reopen with the support of our all volunteer membership. Special recognition went to Auxiliary volunteer Melanie Groneng for over 5,000 hours of service at the Auxiliary Thrift Shop. Melanie was there after the shop reopened on May 11 and worked alongside many others to insure our recovery.
Special recognition was also given to Carole McCarthy, Thrift Shop manager and Auxiliary Board member for her tireless effort during the shutdown. After painting, cleaning and refurbishing, the Thrift Shop was able to reopen. Carole and many volunteers led the way toward regaining our organization’s mission of community service. Carole received the “Firecracker Quilt” as a reminder of the Auxiliary’s appreciation.
