St. Andrews Auxiliary scholarship chairperson, Linda Redman, shares that we are excited to be able to award our scholarships again this spring for those, in our region, who want to continue their education. The board of directors awarded $10,000, in scholarships funds, at the March 20 board of directors meeting. One local recipient received $6,000 toward a master’s in nursing at University of Maine, Fort Kent. Another $4,000 was also awarded towards a bachelor’s in nursing at UMaine, Fort Kent. Currently we are supporting five nurses, one social worker and a recipient who is enrolled in a work related seminar.

St. Andrews Auxiliary is a nonprofit membership organization, of volunteers, whose mission is to support the MaineHealth/Lincoln Health system through awarding scholarships and providing financial donations to the healthcare services and other health related nonprofits in our Boothbay region. Proceeds from membership dues, community cash and thrift shop donations, and sales from our Thrift Shop fund our donations. Thank you, to our community, for your continued support of our mission.
