Spring may not be far away
There is not a lot of news to report this week. I’m sure that the sub zero temperatures of late keep people busy with indoor activities, although we did experience a couple of “spring like” days where the temperature reached a balmy 60 F.
Those are the days that make me feel that we have turned the corner toward spring and Ocean Point is not far away.
If you follow the OP blog you will notice that winter is not quite ready to leave the Point. Thanks to Rusty Court, there is a beautiful photo of fresh snow on Route 96. And Sue Goodrich has posted several photos of the snowy owl.
Sally Johnson reports that while out walking early one morning last week she came upon the snowy owl perched in front of Joan Libby’s house. She was no more than 10 feet from the owl and stood there for quite some time admiring the bird. It then flew to the top of one of the cottages at the Inn.
Greg May would like to remind everyone that his new novel, “A Wicked Tide,” which takes place off the coast of Maine, is due for release in March. Good luck Greg.
In a recent email from Holly Hornor, she reports that she and Larry spent a very enjoyable New Year’s Eve in Hallowell with Judy Dawson. She and Judy even managed to stay awake long enough to watch the ball drop in Times Square.
Just a quick reminder that Judy and Holly will be chairing the Rummage this July so start collecting your treasures for the sale. There will be more information as we get closer to the actual date.
Have a great week!
