Spring 2015 drug take back day is April 25
Law enforcement officials and Lincoln Country Triad volunteers will be on hand at several locations in Lincoln County for the twice yearly medication/drug take back day on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This is the time to discard any unwanted, unused or expired medication in a safe manner. You can bring the following to the collection locations:
- Inhalers
- Vitamins
- Pet medication
- Medication samples
- Prescription medications
- Liquid medication in glass or leak-proof containers
- Medication ointments/lotions
- Over the counter medications
- Narcotics (controlled substances)
Not included are IV bags, used syringes, business waste, empty containers, hydrogen peroxide, personal care products or bloody, infectious waste.
The collection locations will be at: the town office in Boothbay Harbor; Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta; the Sproul Block in Waldoboro; Sheepscot Valley Health Care in Whitefield; and Lincoln County Communications building in Wiscasset.
Help keep your family, community and the environment safe by turning in your unused or expired medications on April 25.
