Smiling faces and happy hands at St. Andrews Village

Smiles were abundant among residents, volunteers and the pumpkin faces present at last week’s Garden Club sponsored garden therapy project. The annual pumpkin decorating activity included participants both from the Gregory Wing and Safe Havens and if the smile on the funny faced pumpkin is any indication, a good time was had by all.

Fifteen crafters decorated 50 pumpkins with stick-on faces, hats, ribbons and leaves to add a festive holiday feel to their surroundings. Coinciding with a definite turn in the weather, the activity which added Halloween décor to the common area and residents’ rooms seemed the perfect way to usher in fall.
