‘Seeing through New Lenses’
Reverend Erika Hewitt will reflect on “Seeing through New Lenses” at the Midcoast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship service on Sunday, Oct. 20.
“In ways formal and informal, Unitarian Universalists have chosen to deepen our commitment to be an anti-oppressive, multicultural movement,” Hewitt said. “Where do we begin?”
For Hewitt, it starts with redefining and acknowledging “privilege” (not having to see certain things, or even know about the) and learning to trust the stories of others.
The Fellowship meets every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the Porter Auditorium of Skidompha Library in Damariscotta. Entrance is through the door on Elm Street.
