Faith and Glory Blethen each scored 19 points and the Boothbay Region High School girls varsity basketball team defeated the Oak Hill Raiders, 52-31, in the Mountain Valley Conference championship game played at Lewiston High School Feb. 9.

The Raiders led after the first quarter, 11-9, but the Seahawks found their offense and stepped up their defense in the second quarter to take a 26-18 halftime lead. Boothbay then held Oak Hill to only four points in the third quarter to take a 19-point lead, 41-22, heading into the final eight minutes.

Madison Faulkingham added five points for Boothbay.

Oak Hill was led by Abby Nadeau with eight points, followed by Sadie Waterman with seven and Anna Beach with six.
