The Boothbay Region Seahawks built a 30-12 lead the first half and went on to defeat the Hall-Dale Bulldogs, 49-37, in Farmingdale Wednesday, Jan. 22.

The victory improved Boothbay’s record to 12-2 while Hall-Dale fell to 5-9 with the loss.

Junior Glory Blethen led the Seahawks with 19 points. Senior Chloe Arsenault added 16 and senior Josey Smith pitched in with eight.

K.K. Wills led the Bulldogs with 10 points, followed by Amanda Trepioner with nine and Iris Ireland with eight.

The second-seeded Seahawks will next host top-seeded Winthrop on Friday, Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m. Boothbay defeated the Ramblers in Winthrop, 51-49, Jan. 8.
