The Boothbay Region High School boys and girls varsity basketball teams will compete in the Maine Gold Rush Invitational Tournaments at the Augusta Civic Center during the Christmas break.

The BRHS boys will play on Thursday, Dec. 26 at noon against Medomak Valley. Mt. Ararat will play Spruce Mountain at 10:30 a.m. The winners will square off in the championship game at 1:30 p.m. Afternoon games will feature Oceanside vs. Messalonskee at 3:30 p.m., Madision vs. Oxford Hills at 5 p.m., and the championship game at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Dec. 31, the BRHS girls will face Messalonskee at 9 a.m. At 10:30 a.m., Hall-Dale will take on Medomak Valley. The winners of the two games will play for the championship at noon. Afternoon games will feature St. Dom’s vs. Winthrop at 2 p.m., Spruce Mountain vs. Erskine at 3:30 p.m., and the championship game at 5 p.m.

Admission for an all-day pass for each of the two tournaments will be $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students.
