Boothbay scored its second victory in three schoolboy tennis matches April 30 defeating host Hall-Dale in Hallowell. In singles, Seahawk No. 1 Bobby Clarkson won the first set, 6-3 before his opponent Isaac Lawrence defaulted in the second set with an injury. In second singles, Boothbay’s Henry Drapeau defeated Orion Bittues, 6-2, 6-2. In third singles, Hall-Dale won its lone match. Boothbay’s Vincent Salzwedel won the first set, 6-2, but Eli Spahn rallied in the next two sets, 6-2 and 6-4.

In doubles, Boothbay’s No. 1 team Cody Field and Mason Erhard defeated Ian MacNaughton and Colby Gardner, 7-6 (5), 6-2. Neither team had a second doubles team. 

Boothbay hosts Class B Mountain Valley (1-1) at 4 p.m. May 1.
