The benefits of early education are widespread. This is one of the reasons that consideration is being given to starting a public pre-K program at Edgecomb Eddy School for the 2014-2015 school year.

Determining the need and support for such a program is necessary before we proceed with plans to implement one. Parents/guardians are asked to call the school at 207-882-5515 to indicate interest in enrolling a child, should the program be started. Children are eligible if they will be turning four by October 15, 2014 and reside in the town of Edgecomb. Bus transportation will be offered for Edgecomb residents.

Consideration will also be given to children from neighboring towns; parents not residing in Edgecomb but interested in this possibility are encouraged to call the school for more information.

We will also be gathering data for possible interest for the following school year; therefore, parents of children who will be four by October 15, 2015 are asked to indicate interest by calling the school.
