People from away, part II

Thu, 08/21/2014 - 5:00pm

By most accounts, the summer of 2014 has been a pretty good one, weatherwise. Here in Boothbay Harbor we’ve had a lot of sunny days, without many complaints of humidity or rain.

Friday, Aug. 15 and Wednesday, Aug. 20 were two of those perfect sun-soaked days, and there were a lot of people, from here and away, out taking advantage of it.

On Pier 1 there were several groups of people, some from as far away as New Zealand, many of them enjoying ice cream cones from the Downeast Ice Cream Factory, and relaxing on a picnic table on the wharf.

Enjoy these pictures of “people from away” who came to our favorite place for some ice cream, fresh seafood, boat rides, fresh ocean breezes, and a little R & R.
