CAROL HODGKINS, left, and husband Bill, right, from Freeport, along with Carol’s mother, Jean Meyer, from The Villages, Florida, were enjoying a cold one at Pier 1 before heading to the Schooner Eastwind for a sail. Meyer was in Portland for her 55th class reunion, and Bill Hodgkins said they “hijacked” her for the day. “We couldn’t think of anyplace better to go than here,” he said.
