New classes at Seeds of Knowledge excite learners
New fall classes at Seeds of Knowledge Education Center in Wiscasset have been well accepted by children in the Midcoast area.
Students in Lissette Gonzalez-Griffin’s Spanish class come each Monday eager to learn a new language. They have been acquiring Spanish through songs, books and conversation.
Math club, another new class offered this fall, finds students delighted to apply math skills through atypical math activities, like paper airplane mathematics and origami. They've also enjoyed playing math games to develop their reasoning and logic.
Preschool aged children have been welcomed at Seeds of Knowledge in the Seedlings Explorer class on Fridays. These 3, 4 and 5 year olds have had a wonderful time exploring science, history and math. So far they've learned about the properties of air, apple tree cycles, graphing and more.
Seeds of knowledge will also be offering poetry and Shakespeare classes beginning in November. For more information or to enroll in a class visit www.seedsofknowledgeec.com or call 207-841-2704.
