The Mountain Valley Conference announced its high school winter sports all-star teams this week.

Boothbay Region High School boys and girls basketball players were honored by the recent votes of the league’s coaches.

Senior Hunter Crocker and junior Ben Pearce were named first-team boys all stars. Senior Chloe Arsenault and junior Glory Blethen were named first-team girls all stars. Junior Kylie Brown was named to the girls second-team all stars.

Receiving honorable mention for the boys was senior Nicholas Morley, and for the girls were seniors Josey Smith and Madison Faulkingham.

Arsenault and Faulkingham were named MVC academic all stars.
