Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Farnham wed in Boothbay Harbor
Colleen Elizabeth Higgins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Higgins of East Boothbay, exchanged wedding vows with Marshall Weston Fanham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Farnham of Boothbay Harbor, on August 10, 2013.
The ceremony was held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, with Rev. Frank Murray officiating.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Michele Cacioppo as matron of honor. The best man was Jerry Farnham, brother of the groom. Steven Cartwright and William Jadick served as ushers. Richie Cacioppo, the bride's godson, served as ring bearer. Sarah Duggan, the groom's cousin, sang two solos during the ceremony.
The bride arrived in a black, 1936 Buick sedan accompanied by her father. Her ivory gown was made of silk taffeta and had a detachable cathedral length train that belonged to her mother. Her bouquet, created by Boothbay Region Greenhouses, contained white roses, mini green and white hydrangea, and rosemary. The altar floral piece was arranged in a unique clam hod handmade by the groom.
The reception took place at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and was catered by Belle Fete of Brunswick. Airtight, a Boston-based band, did a fabulous job of getting guests out on the dance floor all evening. Photographer Bob Mitchell captured the memorable day.
