Mountain Valley edges Boothbay

The Mountain Valley High School Falcons improved to 3-0 on the season with a 5-3 win over the visiting Boothbay Region High School Seahawks on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

The Falcons led at the half, 3-1, but the Seahawks played them even in the second half.

Scoring three goals for the Falcons was Avery Sevigny. Her sister, Rylee, and Taylor Dube each scored a goal.

Chloe Arsenault had two goals for Boothbay, while fellow senior Hali Goodwin also scored.

Jaelyn Crocker had 22 saves in goal for Boothbay. Falcon goalie Nora Tag had five saves.

The Seahawks (1-1) are next scheduled to host the Spruce Mountain Phoenix on Friday, Sept. 13 at 3:30 p.m.
