The Special Olympics State Swim Meet was held at Bates College on Apr. 10 and 11. The Boothbay team was great, in fact outstanding.
They came home with a total of 15 Gold medals, 20 Silver medals, 10 Bronze medals; one 4th Place, three 5th Place and one 6th Place.
They were ready, they were well practiced, many bettered their own personal best and they were appreciative and polite. A coach and teacher couldn’t have been more proud.
They represented themselves, their families, their communities, so very well.
