The sixth annual Boothbay Region Lobster Jam girls basketball tournament, featuring 16 teams, is underway at Boothbay Region High School and Boothbay Region Elementary School. The tournament began at 12:30 p.m. at both venues.

The Boothbay Region High School team will face Sacopee Valley at 6:30 p.m. at BRHS, take on Cheverus at 9 a.m. Saturday at BRHS, and compete against George Stevens Academy at 5:15 p.m. at BRHS.

The semifinal games (winners of the four pools) will be held at the two venues beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday. The championship will be at BRHS at 8:30 p.m.
