The Seahawks came quickly out of the starting gate against the undefeated Lisbon Greyhounds on Wednesday, May 22.

Freshman pitcher Jordan Carrier retired the side in the first inning, facing only five batters. The Seahawks scored first in the bottom of the first. Will LaBrecque walked and came home on a double by Owen Barter.

Coach Ed Crocker said he had planned to give his young pitchers a chance to start against the league's leading team.

The Greyhounds hit their stride with three runs in the second inning and seven runs in the third to take the lead for good.

Carrier was relieved by Sam Page in the third followed by Hunter Crocker. Jamie LaBrecque finished out the game.

Greyhound junior Levi Levesque pitched four strong innings with four strikeouts. He was relieved by Neil Larochette completing the five-inning game.

Lisbon moved to 12-0 with the win. The Seahawks dropped to 2-10 with the loss.
