Lions have their biggest raffle ever
Tickets are now available for the Boothbay Region Lions Club Twelve Days of Christmas raffle. This year you have the chance to win one or more of the over 40 prizes available. The raffle was a big success last year and this year there’s even more prizes and more chances to win. Remember, even if you win a prize, your name is returned to the pot for a chance to be drawn again.
As with all our raffles, the generosity of local businesses and individuals is what makes it happen. There’s everything from a “sweet treat” from Sweet Dreams Bakery to a dental cleaning from Dr. Jay Andrews. Gold/Smith Gallery has been a major donor giving twelve beautiful pieces of jewelry, one for each day.
Other donations include an Abacus calendar, a pillow from Casual Interiors, a selection of products from Eames Hair Salon, etched wine glasses from ETC Antiques, Hometown Convenience pizzas, a gift basket from The Pantry, a Sweet Bay BOGG Bag, and two live Christmas trees from Tom Peaslee.
In addition, there are numerous wonderful gift certificates from Baker’s Way, The Cutting Edge, Janson's, Mama D’s, Pinkham’s Seafood, Robinson's Wharf Restaurant, Sherman's, Slick's, T & D Variety, and Two Salty Dogs. And the list goes on. Lions Club members have also made donations to the raffle. Twelve lobsters, homemade rum cakes, a Vera Bradley bag, dog care, numerous gift cards and cash gifts and even a two hour sailboat cruise have been donated!
Raffle tickets are only five dollars and will include a calendar showing each of the above prizes on the day it is to be drawn. Those who purchase a ticket can keep track of the daily winners by going to the Lions Club Facebook site or go directly to our website, www.e-clubhouse.org/sites/boothbay/.
Raffle tickets may be purchased from any Boothbay Region Lion, at the Early Bird Sale, or by calling Joyce Dinnar at 350-5948. There are no losers with this raffle as all purchasers get the satisfaction that every dollar from the sale goes to charity.
