Kicking off the summer
After almost two weeks as the only full-time residents of our point, summer has stated to come alive and more cottages are occupied every day. The summer of 2013 is a significant year as we celebrate the 100th birthday of the “Juniper-McKown Point Village Improvement Society.”
Several activities are planned for the celebration so watch for all the announcements. We encourage all family members and guests to join in the activities.
Hopefully the summer of 2013 will get kicked off to a good start with full attendance at the opening reception on Saturday, June 29 at the Community House. Please bring your favorite adult beverage. Set-ups and mixes will be provided. Snacks to share are welcomed. There will also be an opportunity that evening to reserve tickets for our July 6 clam bake.
We were pleased to learn that the Sylvester family (Jonathan, Jodi, son Henry and mother Dottie) will be in residence for most of the summer. We enjoyed a brunch with them last Sunday and were joined by “off Point” friends Barbara Freeman, her daughter Abbey and grandson Simon.
We welcome back out tennis director, Jeff Dawson. He has the program all organized and ready to roll. Check out his note below and his plans for the summer schedule:
“Director Jeff would like to welcome you all back for another great summer of tennis fun.
