JV boys win first two games
Coach impressed with defensive effort so far

The Boothbay Region High School boys' junior varsity basketball team won its first two games of the 2012-2013 season.
At Carrabec on December 7, Julian Aponte led Boothbay with 10 points in the Seahawks' 50-26 victory.
At home against Monmouth, Boothbay won easily, 79-45, behind a balanced scoring attack. The Seahawks broke out to a 30-12 first quarter lead and were never challenged.
The jayvees also beat Gardiner in exhibition for the first time in many years, 52-47. Nick Gorey led the way with 14 points, followed by Aponte with 11.
Coach Mark Gosselin said he has been impressed with his fast, aggressive defensive team so far this season.
