Internet and fraud scam workshop Oct. 17 at Patten Free Library
Patten Free Library, Age-Friendly Communities of the Lower Kennebec, and Coastal Maine Regional Broadband together will present a series of three workshops on frauds and scams, with the first event Friday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. at the Patten Free Library in Bath.
This first session will be a general overview of scams, red flags and what is happening locally, presented by Sagadahoc County Sheriff Joel Merry and Julie Casson, Fraud and Scam Specialist with Coastal Maine Regional Broadband.

The second workshop -- Nov 14 -- will discuss specific ways to help prevent any of us becoming a victim of a scam. Bath Savings will be part of the panel discussion. The third session – Dec 5 – is well-timed, focusing on how to stay safe during the holiday season.
