Boothbay Region High School students and staff threw an energetic and fun pep rally before field hockey and football games Oct. 4. The pep rally had a scooter race, contests in donut eating, bottle flipping, twerkin’, cookie face, blind makeup and Twinkie eating, a class cheer and a dance-off. Seniors won the scooter race and dance-off and juniors won the bottle flip, donut eating, makeup and Twinkie eating contests. Teachers won the twerkin’and cookie face contests. Manon Lewis announced winners of the parade float competition and hallway decorating: Freshmen placed third and fourth; sophomores, first and third; Juniors, fourth and first; seniors, second in both; and the teachers were last in both.
