Holiday concert at BRES

On December 20, Boothbay Region Elementary School's gym filled up completely with parents and visitors, leaving standing-room only for the eighth annual Holiday Concert. Each class, from kindergarten through fourth grade, performed two holiday songs.
The fourth-grade class opened with “My Two Front Teeth” and “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” The third graders followed with “Maine Christmas” and “It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas.”
The second graders performed “Must Be Santa” and “When Christmas Comes to Town.” The first graders did “Santa's Elves” and “Suzy Snowflake,” and the kindergarten class finished up with “Here Comes Santa Claus” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” followed by two sing-a longs with the audience, “Jingle Bells” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
After the concert, students all got to visit with a special guest in red who was handing out candy canes.
