Dear Editor:

In this time of serious and valid discussion of police conduct around the country, I would like to mention our Lincoln County law enforcement agency. 

Having lived here for 13 years and prior to that in various places including outside the U.S. and professionally having worked with many police agencies throughout the world, I have the absolutely highest regard for our county police officers and their leadership. 

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is one of the most (if frankly, not the most) professional, respectful and competent organizations that I have encountered. I am sincerely appreciative of the sense of service every member of the organization provides and strongly support them.
