High fashion Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the store, the people were shopping, buying clothing galore.
Despite the fox fur jackets, designer jeans, velvet heels, the event was not a runway show in New York City or Los Angeles; it was A Night Before Christmas fashion show, at A Second Season consignment store in Boothbay.
Eight local models (Michelle Panagore, Mary Batakis, Willie Noel, Lori Griffin, Michelle Miclette, Heather Reynolds, Glenn Burnham and Marie MacDonald), dressed up in outfits available at A Second Season, all selling for prices far below retail.
Approximately 20 people attended the fashion show, which had door prizes donated by McSeagulls, Oak Street Provisions, Gimbel's Country Store and the Thistle Inn.
The guests played reindeer games: trivia questions about Christmas and naming all of Santa’s reindeer.
The evening was a lot of fun for all involved, including the models, who grinned as they showed off their model walks. In Burnham’s case, his walk often included a little spin.
“This was a wonderful event,” Pat McKee said, a customer who purchased an oriental jacket after the show. “What a great way to bring people together and stimulate business as well.”
A Second Season is on Route 27 in Boothbay. Jill Reynolds purchased the business August 14, 2012. The show was sponsored by Mind Your Own Business, Inc., and catered by Mama D’s Café.
