Healthy Lincoln County is partnering with Maine Community Health Options, and the Skidompha Public Library to provide two informational community forums about the Affordable Care Act, the Health Insurance Marketplace, and the new CO-OP health insurance option for Maine people. The marketplace is open for enrollment (as of October 1, 2013) for coverage beginning January 1, 2014.

The Marketplace will offer Maine consumers health insurance coverage in the individual or small-group markets, with the availability of subsidies, cost sharing reductions and tax credits, making coverage more affordable for thousands of individuals and businesses.

The two forums will be held on October 3 at 4 and 5:30 p.m. at the Skidompha Public Library, 184 Main St in Damariscotta. For more information about this event, call 207-563-1330 or email director@healthylincolncounty.org.
