Hats, mittens for kids at Free Clothing Closet
A big donation of hats and gloves for little ones has arrived just in time for the cold weather at the Free Clothing Closet. We also have a large collection of good sneakers and shoes for children.
What we don’t have is men’s clothing. If you have a coat or sweater you no longer wear, why not share with someone who might really need it? Please take your donations to the Blue Box at the Boothbay Waste Station on Country Club Road. The box is located on the left side of the main dumping station.
The Free Clothing Closet, located behind the United Methodist Church on Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor, is open every Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., throughout the winter. The closet is under the auspices of the Boothbay Region Community Resources, and is run as a free service to the community. The closet is run on the honor system. Our motto is: “Take what you need, leave enough for others.”
