Dear Editor:

The Boothbay Harbor Board of Selectmen are concerned by the recent appearance of disturbing flyers that were distributed in our community.

We want to assure residents and visitors that the Harbor is a welcoming, safe community that values diversity and rejects intolerance. 

The Selectmen invite anyone who feels threatened by recent actions to please contact the Boothbay Harbor Police so they can help assure your personal safety and the safety of our community.
