The Boothbay Region Seahawk boys made a game of it for three quarters, but the host Hall-Dale Bulldogs kept their undefeated streak alive by outscoring the visitors in the final frame and went on to win, 72-56, in Class C South basketball action in Farmingdale Wednesday night.

Trailing 49-43 after three quarters, the Seahawks were outscored 25-12 in the final eight minutes by the 9-0 Bulldogs.

The big gun for Hall-Dale was Jett Bower, who hit seven three-pointers and led the team with 23 points. Helping the Bulldogs with the scoring were Alec Byron with 13 and Ashton Abbott with 11.

Kyle Ames once again led Boothbay in scoring with 19, followed by Steve Reny with 14 and Nick Simpson with nine. Simpson was the game’s leading rebounder with 13 and Nick Morley had 11.

Boothbay dropped to 5-4 on the season and will host the Madison Bulldogs on Friday night, weather permitting.
