The Boothbay Region Elementary School PTO is holding a fundraising walk-a-thon on Saturday, Sept. 21 on Sherman Field at Boothbay Region High School. All are invited to join the walk-a-thon and help raise money for the PTO’s child enrichment programs. Rain date is Sept. 28.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon and will include the sale of food at the BRHS Snack Shack by the BRES 7th and 8th grade classes, who are raising money for their trip to Washington, D.C.

There will be lots of carnival-themed prizes given away, as well. Prizes will be given to the top fundraiser, the top fundraising class, for laps and raffle prizes to those raising $25 or more.

While walking on the marked course, participants will be treated to “energizing” music.

Volunteers are needed. Check the BRES PTO Facebook page for volunteer signups.
