Dan Stevens and his treasure hunting brigade found the Ebb Tide token the night of March 26 hidden in Pine Tree Preserve off Route 96.
Stevens said it was happenstance they picked the right trail and stumbled across a question mark pinned to tree, which eventually led him to a token hanging from a white pine.
Stevens celebrated by taking his team out for dinner at Ebb Tide, where he was awarded $380 in prize money. Stevens, who was the previous winner in 2011, said he planned on sharing some of the winnings with the Boothbay Region Land Trust.
