As part of its 250th anniversary celebration, the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor is pleased to welcome back the Rev. J. David Stinson along with his family. This Sunday, Aug. 7, at the regular 10 a.m. worship service. Stinson will preach a sermon entitled, "God's Face" based on a scripture reading from the 32nd chapter of the Book of Genesis.

Rev. Stinson ably pastored the Boothbay Harbor church from 1982-1992. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University and Yale Divinity School. Stinson was also a chaplain in the Naval Reserve, retiring from Naval Chaplaincy as a rear admiral.
