Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor virtual services
Please join the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor for live worship Sundays at 10 a.m. You can join us at www.congochurchbbh.org, Facebook, or tune into BRTV, channel 1301 for Spectrum subscribers. This July and August we will be focused on the Exodus journey to the Promised Land. The story of this interim pilgrimage has wisdom to offer all of us in this “liminal” time we are in as church, nation, and world community. The story of the 40-year exodus in the wilderness provides the Biblical context for sharing stories of pilgrimage – journeys that have made and remade us.
This week, Aram Mitchell, executive director of Renewal in the Wilderness will be the guest preacher. His sermon, The Edge of Wilderness: An Examination of Wilderness as Sacred Text, is an exploration for the wisdom to be found there and an embrace of the responsibility that comes with the finding. Following the service there will be a brief Congregational Meeting on Zoom and Virtual Coffee Hour following the service. Please check your email for the Zoom link and more information that will be sent out Saturday. Bring a cup of juice or cup of coffee and join Aram for a post-service practice of wilderness.
Aram’s sermon sets the context for the next six Sundays of stories of making it through the wilderness.
