Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor Advent schedule

Thu, 12/03/2020 - 1:15pm

The Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor announces its Advent schedule.

Dec. 6-Advent II: Communion, Greening of the church and Candle of Peace. What if…We Followed Nature’s Lead? John 1:1-5. The Rev. Nicole Diroff, guest preacher. Sermon: “The Intelligence of Trees.”

During this season of Advent, we anticipate yet again the Word becoming flesh. Created in God's image, we are reminded of our interconnectedness with one another and our planetary home. What might our kinship to trees and sand and snow have to teach us about the Holy One?

Rev. Diroff is a United Church of Christ pastor and serves as program director at The Bangor Theological Seminary Center where she directs, plans and implements programs that support the organization's mission to “catalyze spiritual imagination, with enduring wisdom, for transformative faith leadership.” Join Rev. Diroff following worship at 11:30 a.m. for a Zoom Coffee Hour discussion. Email Heather Lorrain at admin@congochurchbbh.org for a link.
