Compass Rose Events, Inc. has reached an agreement with The Boothbay Playhouse to lease the property as its new headquarters and New England operations center. Compass Rose owners, Scott Larson and Bob Hilscher happen to be quite familiar with the Playhouse and grounds — their kids have performed in numerous productions there over the past 10 years. They were sad to see the Playhouse end its 10-year run and it is with mixed feelings that they make the property their new home. They do plan to maintain the integrity of the theater space and stage, so it will be easy for the property to become an active playhouse again at some point in the future.

Compass Rose will move into the space in May beginning a multi-year lease. The cast house will serve as administrative office space. Event and catering equipment will be stored in the theater space while the lobby will serve as the sales office.

Compass Rose Events delivers approximately 300 corporate events annually in 38 states from their Nashville, Tennessee and Boothbay Harbor locations.
