Chamber hires new director
Michael Maxim, president of the board of directors of the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce, announced in an email letter to members Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 26, that the board has accepted the resignation of Executive Director Rick Prose and that the board has voted to hire Chamber Marketing and Events Coordinator Patricia Royall as the new executive director.
"We acknowledge Rick’s dedication and hard work over his tenure at the Chamber, particularly his contributions to the Joint Economic Development Committee and his obvious love for this beautiful Region. We wish Rick the best and we encourage our membership to do the same," Maxim wrote.
In announcing Royall as the new executive director, Maxim wrote, "Looking ahead, it is with sincere enthusiasm that we announce our new Executive Director, whom many of you already know. Key in developing a cohesive staff over the past year, Patricia Royall has done a remarkable job meeting broad Chambers goals, as well as those of her own as our Marketing and Events Coordinator. The Board of Directors is proud to recognize the hard work and achievement of Patricia, who is deserving of the opportunity to lead the Boothbay Harbor (Region) Chamber of Commerce. She is a visionary with creative ideas, sharp attention to detail, and local knowledge of the peninsula. Please join us in welcoming Patricia Royall as our next Executive Director."
