In observance of Independence Day, God & Country will be celebrated this Sunday, July 3 at Boothbay Baptist Church during the 10:15 a.m. worship service, followed by a family picnic.

The service will feature patriotic music and will feature guest speaker Carroll Conley, director of the Christian Civic League of Maine. There will be no Sunday School classes on July 3.

Following the service will be the annual church family picnic outside in the lower level parking lot with grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, as well as side dishes and desserts contributed by parishioners. There will be a bounce house for kids on the Community Field behind the church, and a softball game is planned. Dress casually, and remember to bring lawn chairs, sunscreen, and any other picnic essentials. All are invited.
