Camden Hills defeats Boothbay, 13-8, in schoolgirl lacrosse

Lady Seahawks are 4-4 and in eighth place in Class C Heal points

For a second straight game, Boothbay played a man down which proved too difficult a challenge against Camden Hills. The Windjammers prevailed 13-8 in the Class C schoolgirl lacrosse match in Rockport. With the man advantage, Camden Hills sailed to a 10-2 lead, but Boothbay stormed backed to pull within three goals. Boothbay is now 4-4 and in eighth place in the Class C Heal point standings. Camden Hills is 6-3 and in sixth place in the Class B standings. 

“We fought hard, but we only had 11 players and they took advantage of us on the defensive end,” said Bootbhay coach Bill Goldenberg. Seahawk scorers included Hannah Cola with five, most coming on long field runs from her defensive position. Chloe Arsenault had two and Cortney Meader tallied one. In goal, Alexis Davison made 16 saves.

Boothbay's next game is at Mount Ararat on May 23. Boothbay travels to Topsham to play the Eagles (3-6) who sit in eighth place in Class B.

On May 24, Boothbay travels to Fairfield for a game against Lawrence (3-6). The Bulldogs sit in 12th place in Class B.
