Wow. This past month was very busy on Barters Island.

On June 23, BICA held its annual Yard/Plant Sale and it was a big success.  Weather was great and we sold a lot of wonderful items.   Thanks to all who helped out: all the workers who sorted, priced and sold the items; and also a special thanks to all who donated things for us to sell; the people who came and purchased stuff and to the cleanup crew who packed and delivered the remaining items to another organizations sale to be held later.

On July 4, the Barters Island Community Association (BICA) was host to approximately 100 people from a bus tour. BICA fed these people a wonderful meal supplied by members of the community. Big thanks to all who contributed really great food. The association provided the meat, rolls and drinks.   

Many many thanks to all who gave us their celebration on the 4th to set up, serve and clean up on a very warm evening. This event is a big fund raiser for BICA and we appreciate and the effort that went into making this a huge success

On July 17, BICA will hold our monthly potluck supper, starting at 6 p.m.  This month we will have a cookout. Some of the wonderful grill masters on the island will serve "Island Burgers" and "BI Hot dogs." Dessert will also be served.  Please bring something to go with burgers and dogs: an appetizer, salad or side dish and your beverage of choice. All Trevett residents are welcome.
