Burke’s Island Farm equestrians do well at Union show

On Sunday, June 3, Burke’s Island Farm attended their first horse show of the season. Three first time exhibitors rode at Tri-County horse show in Union, Maine with great success.

Kayla Latter, daughter of Rob and Julia Latter of Boothbay Harbor, rode her horse, Sensational Touch, placing 1st in walk/trot Equitation 3rd in walk/trot Pleasure and another 3rd, out of twelve, in walk/trot Pleasure Championship class.

Lydia Currier, daughter of Sarah and Jason Currier of Edgecomb, rode Burke’s Island Farm’s Stonecroft Love Potion, placing 1st in walk/trot Pleasure, 3rd in Equitation and 4th out of twelve, in a Pleasure championship class.

Savannah Alley, daughter of Kate and Max Alley of Boothbay, rode Burke’s Island Farm’s Stonecroft Love Potion had two 2nds in leadline Equitation and Pleasure.

Haley Abbott, a seasoned exhibitor, riding Burke’s Island Farm’s Stonecroft Love Potion, placed 2nd in Morgan Pleasure and 1st in a very competitive English Pleasure class.

Burke’s Island Farm is so proud of all these girls dedication, accomplishments and hard work. We are looking forward to a very successful show season.
