BRHS girls basketball awards






The Boothbay Region High School girls varsity basketball team held its annual post-season awards ceremony Monday, March 2 in the BRHS library. Coach Brian Blethen recapped the successful Seahawks season as the 2019-2020 squad made it to the regional finals only to fall to the Winthrop Ramblers in the Class C South championship game, 38-34. The team finished the season at 18-3.
Along with the individual honors Blethen handed out, the team was presented with the sportsmanship award from the Central Maine Basketball Board #20. The board of officials, who number 120 strong, voted on select criteria. The presentation was made to the team’s seniors, Chloe Arsenault, Madison Faulkingham and Josey Smith, by Mark Bridgham, president of Board #20.
Glory Blethen was named the team’s most valuable player, Arsenault received the coach’s award and Kylie Brown was the team’s most improved player.
