Last March, Boothbay Region Elementary School hosted its first art exhibition to celebrate Youth Arts Month. The school has decided to make it a yearly tradition. Assistant Principal Tricia Campbell said the exhibit is a great opportunity for people in the Boothbay Region to present their artwork to students for inspiration.

Said Campbell, “The BRES community enjoyed this opportunity immensely last year and we are excited to bring it back!”

The exhibit is open to all. Contact Jessica Nadeau at jnadeau@csd3-bres.org by Friday, Feb. 16 to submit artwork. Submissions will be collected from Monday, Feb. 26 to Wednesday, Feb. 28. Flat work, including photographs, should be no larger than 12" x 18” and be ready to hang including proper hooks and/or wires. Works on paper should be framed or in a protective sleeve. Sculpture, going in a trophy case, should be no larger than 12” x 18” x 12.”

Said Campbell, “This event is a wonderful opportunity to share the very talented artists in our special community with the students at BRES. It is a great way to encourage students to express themselves through art and to support and recognize the talents of others.”
